Last week, Pharmac announced that it would fund a drug called taxane.
Taxane is a kind of chemotherapeutic drug, which is used for metastatic breast cancer, ovarian as well as fallopian cancer.
According to Peter Moodie, Medical Director, taxanes have an ability to help women with breast cancer livelonger.
The said funding will cost 12.5 million over next five years.
