The government of Bangladesh has proposed an amendment in their law according to which jail officials would be entitled to release the women convicts on parole.
If the released convicts were found violating the conditions for parole, they would again be sent back to the jails.
However, women convicts who have been subjected to death sentence do not come under this provision.
