Recent research done by the US reported that the chances for survival are less for black women as compared to white women, with uterine cancer.
Director of the Gynecologic Disease Center Dr. G. Larry Maxwell stated that even if equal treatment is given to women of both the races, the chances of African American women ‘have worse outcomes’.
According to the study, the black women have lower tumor response to the chemotherapy treatment.
Dr. Robert Morgan, section head of medical gynecologic oncology has suggested genes to be the cause of such a thing.
However, Morgan has given a peace of advice according to which, endometrial cancer is curable provided it being detected at an early stage.
