A three-day conference which was held by the China Society for Human Rights Studies gave platform to more than 70 human rights experts, scholars and officials from 19 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
The director of the human rights research center of China, Zhang Xiaoling, said that more than 10,000 non-government organizations in the nation are working towards women empowerment they are making huge efforts to defend women’s rights.
She further said that the largest non- governmental women’s organization working in China is the women’s federation that has opened up branches in all parts of the country to tackle women’s appeals and grievances.
It has nominated more than 2000 people to check the working conditions of women.
Not only this, the China Law Society has launched a website that’ll target ways to curb domestic violence.
