Focusing on human issues and personal projects, this guidebook offers modules, activities, best practices and advice on setting up a non-traditional technology course. Emphasizing important issues to adolescent girls and allow the students to express their own ideas and solutions to these issues



Unique Curriculum:

• A GenYES teacher who wanted to change the gender imbalance in her technology classes designed this curriculum. Created as a “girls only” class, the modules and activities are designed from an understanding of how girls learn, what is important to girls, and what interests them.

Solid Technology Skills:

• This course teaches technology skills with an emphasis on cooperative group work focusing on human and social issues, problem solving, and personal communication.
