The U.N Committee in Hong Kong came very heavily upon the government who was very lenient with the ongoing domestic and sexual violence.
The Social Welfare Department postulated that round about 10 such cases are reported each day. Though there is alarming rise in the crime each year but the ratio of the convicted offenders is pretty less says the newly formed Civic Party.
Representatives of nongovernmental organizations, held a meeting on Sunday and decided to act on the U.N committee’s report, also they thought of setting service centers to help the victims of domestic violence.

Suzanne Swift, the then twenty one year old Army Specialist, was arrested for showing her reluctance in going back to fight in Iraq. She served in Iraq for a year but decided she won’t return and went AWOL.
