South Korea: Onnine sites the lawmakers who prey upon the native women
Onnine, an online women’s organization in South Korea has personified Choi Yeon-hee, a former Grand National Party lawmaker, as the worst offender of the year since he gave some derogatory remarks about women. He caught hold of a female reporter from behind in a bar and tried to molest her sexually. However, Choi defended his actions by saying, ‘I was drunk and mistook her for the owner of the bar’. Second place on Onnine’s list went to a second GNP lawmaker, Kim Choong-whan, who has defended the sex trade in light of crackdowns on prostitution in massage parlors. The group cited a third GNP lawmaker, Lee Jae-woong, for commenting this year that female prisoners seduce male visitors. Image Read
