THE Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mustapha Ali Idris, has condemned marginalization, discrimination and other forms of violence against women and advocated in favor of fighting against it.
He asserted that women’s deteriorating condition is hindering the country’s general progress.
He claimed that violation of women’s right have been taken place by their male counterpart as they are being denied to participate in decision-making process.
He said that his government is formulating certain policies that would empower women and would encourage them to take part in decision-making.
The minister pointed out that women issue was fundamental to government as was
clearly highlighted in the Ghana Poverty Reduction Strategy Program (GPRSP).
