The changing trend in women’s world
It is a universal phenomenon that a generation is always in revolt with the previous generation. This can be seen in the women’s history as well. The Flapper Generation of the 1920s was a direct revolt against the previous high-mindedness of the Suffragettes. A similar survey done by BBC asserted that the present women’s generation is not that career oriented as the previous generation instead they desire to be married and mothering by the time they reach 30 indicating a sigh of deeply involved into home making. The discrimination at the work place by not giving them equal pay for equal work has been suggested by few for this kind of behavior while there are some others who believe that women are not programmed for the competitive environment so they prefer reclining at homely atmosphere. It further said that very few women actually sacrifice there family life by taking a lead into this male dominating world.
