wills_50A former vice president of Willis Group Holdings Ltd. has sued the group for practicing gender discrimination as women were paid less than men and denied high-profile assignments and promotions.

According to the complaint, ‘Willis has retaliated against women who complained either internally or externally’.

This is not for first time that such a case has been presented before the court, long before in 2001, a similar case was put before the Manhattan court and was on the behalf of female executives who worked at the company from 1998 to 2001 but is still pending till date.

The plaintiff Adrianne Cronas, who lives in New Jersey, says that she was working in various executive positions from 1996 to 2004 in the company. However, she was denied any advancement even though she escalated 80% of the firm’s business.

On the other hand, male colleagues were provided with personal assistants, which was denied to women, also Cronas was never given the stock or options that were granted to men.
